MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday it was checking if there are any Filipinos hurt in a bus accident in the Canadian capital Ottawa on Friday.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa is coordinating with Canadian authorities to check if there were Filipinos hurt in the accident, the DFA said in a statement.
Three people were killed while at least 23 others were reported hurt when a double-decker bus struck a bus shelter in Ottawa on Friday afternoon.
Witnesses said the bus swerved moments before slamming into the bus shelter.
