BATANGAS CITY - More than 13,000 scouts from 26 Asia Pacific nations gathered at the 26th Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna, all geared to create a better world.
The week-long jamboree, which ends on Sunday, is an opportunity for young boys and girls to come together and learn each other's cultural traditions.
They have undergone rope courses, survival skills, and rafted along Laguna de Bay to learn life-saving techniques.
This time, girls were allowed to join to show that they can also make a change.
Just like 16-year-old Saraa Yoosuf who came all the way from Maldives.
Bilal Rashid, a Pakistani, is sad to leave the Philippines, which he has learned a lot from and has come to love.
It was in 1992 when the Jamboree was last held in the Philippines.
The next Jamboree is set to be held at Suncheon, South Korea in August.
