Two students from La Union were chosen by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization as young earth ambassadors.

James Daryll Rey, 12-year old, and Cesar Ariola, 16-year old, who will represent Region I, are members of the non-governmental organization Yakap Kalikasan, which is involved in environmental conservation.

Daryll and Cesar are now in Clark, Pampanga for the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week 2016, together with other young earth ambassadors from regions IV-A, V and VIII.

More than 1,000 delegates and officials from 30 countries are expected to attend the said event which opens Tuesday and ends Friday.
