GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- Six people were wounded after a man held them hostage inside a radio station in General Santos City on Saturday noon.

According to radio station technician Joel Leybag, a certain Gabby Batican entered the Campus Radio DXCJ 102.3 station to use the telephone to ask for help as someone allegedly threatened to kill him.

Batican is the cousin of one of the station's disc jockeys.

The radio station employees called the police after they grew suspicious of Batican.

However, when the police arrived, Batican ran amok and held the employees hostage.

Among those injured were Angel Untal, Jairish Albios, Junie Baticbatic and two policemen. Untal's mother, who was inside the station, was also wounded.
