MANILA -- The death toll in Brgy. Candahug in Palo, Leyte has reached 130 amid the devastation caused by typhoon Yolanda, authorities said Tuesday
Brgy. Candahug bore the brunt of the typhoon as it is located near the sea.
There were no houses left in the area after the typhoon left. All trees were damaged, as well as hundreds of houses in the barangay.
Residents are complaining of hunger. Relief goods from the government have yet to reach the barangay.
They hoping that relief goods from Tacloban City can reach their area, as it is located near the city. -- with reports from Jeff Canoy, ABS-CBN News
