MANILA -- ABS-CBN Tacloban reporter Ranulfo Docdocan, who was feared missing during the onslaught of super typhoon "Yolanda," finally showed up with his crew in Tacloban City on Sunday.

Docdocan's crew was in Guiuan since Thursday. He was still able to send a text message to the news desk on Friday before they lost contact.

The news team caught a footage of destructive winds and rains brought by Yolanda, as it made its first landfall over Guiuan, Eastern Samar last Friday.

After the severe pounding of the super typhoon, concrete posts fell, houses and commercial establishments were destroyed, and one big church was turned into ruins, as if an earthquake shook the area.

Several people reportedly died.

Residents of Guiuan are now appealing to the national government and to their fellow Filipinos for help.--report from Israel Malasa, ABS-CBN News
