MANILA -- Classes are suspended in Ilocos Sur after Tropical Storm 'Mario' destroyed houses and crops in the two provinces.
The Ilocos Sur government suspended classes in all levels on Monday as the province is still reeling from the effects of the storm.
According to Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson, the initial cost of damage by "Mario" to the province's agriculture is now more than P82 million.
Meanwhile, a Facebook post on Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos' fan page announced that classes from preschool to high school, both public and private, are suspended on Monday.
For colleges and universities, students have to wait for the decision from their respective schools.
Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) college students have classes on Monday.
