MANILA - Four children have been missing in Batangas for five days now.

Robin Cabral, 14, went missing Wednesday night last week. His aunt, Josephine Aquino, said he left their house in San Pascual town after being scolded by his father, Romeo.

Robin was reportedly last seen riding a jeepney in the nearby town of Bauan Thursday evening.

He was allegedly abducted and forced into a van by armed suspects who pointed a gun at the driver of the jeepney he was riding, according to another aunt, Berna Calayo.

Three more children were reported missing in the same place on the same night.

The victims were identified as Jerome Claveria, 12; Mica Recto, 11; and Romar Manalo, 12.

A witness said armed men also pointed a gun at the driver of the jeepney the children were riding before they were taken and forced into a van.

Romar's grandmother, Eugenia Cañada, said the three children scavenge for plastic and carton every night.

Sr. Insp. Elmer Aguila, deputy chief of police in Bauan, appealed to witnesses to surface and give their statements to police to help authorities in investigating the case.

Meanwhile, parents are now more cautious and are fetching their children from school, according to Librado Cepillo, chairman of Barangay Laurel in San Pascual. -- Reports from Dominic Almelor, ABS-CBN News; Dennis Datu, DZMM
