MANILA, Philippines – A 7.6 magnitude earthquake Friday night damaged homes and buildings and caused panic among residents all across eastern Visayas and parts of Mindanao.

In Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, the home of the Galbano family was ravaged by fire after the quake caused a lamp on the door to fall, triggering the fire.
No one was left in their house when the earthquake happened.

In Cagayan de Oro city, residents captured on video how the lights of a covered court in Barangay Tablon shook during the earthquake.

A wall from an old building collapsed in Butuan City due to the quake.

The quake also caused cracks in one of the buildings, and detached some of the tiles.

Closed circuit camera (CCTV) footage inside an electrical supplies store also recorded the effects of the tremor.

In Burgos, Surigao del Norte, some residents fled from their homes after the earthquake.

The earthquake was also felt in Iligan City, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Marawi City and Surigao del Sur. -- Report from Rod Bolivar, ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao; ANC
