Around 55 different kinds of sex toys and gadgets that were being sold in a stall inside a mall in Bacolod City were confiscated by the Philippine National Police Tuesday afternoon.
Police Officer 2 Richard Delasa, Police Station 2 investigator, said that they have received many complaints that a stall with the trade name 557 China Commercial has been selling these sex toys for about three months now so authorities decided to conduct a "buy-bust" operation.
The seized items were estimated to cost around P150,000.
Police, last March 3, reportedly also raided the same store for allegedly selling these sex toys without a mayor's permit. This time around however they were able to get evidence.
Delasa said that dry goods and textiles business was only indicated in the firm’s permit.
Police said that these sex toys and gadgets that were being sold were considered pornographic materials and selling them was in violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code.
Diosa Achenova, the owner of the stall, however was out of the province so the police still has to talk with her.
