MANILA (UPDATE) – Tropical storm "Maring" (international name: Trami) has left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
In an interview with dzMM, PAGASA forecaster Connie Rose Dadivas said Maring exited PAR at 7 a.m.
Dadivas said although the storm was already outside PAR, it will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon (habagat).
At 7:30 a.m., PAGASA issued a yellow rainfall advisory over Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
It said the moderate to heavy rains affecting Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Bataan, Northern Cavite, portions of Pampanga, Zambales, Tarlac and Occidental Mindoro are most likely to continue for the next 3 hours.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Laguna and Southern Quezon for the next hour.
