MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.6 earthquake jolted parts of Mindoro and Batangas provinces on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 10 kilometers deep off the coast line of Mamburao town, Occidental Mindoro at 8:22 a.m..
The earthquake was felt at Intensity 3 in Mamburao town, Puerta Galera in Oriental Mindoro and Ilijan town in Batangas province.
In a second report, the Phivolcs said that a magnitude 3.1 quake took place in the same area at 9:07 a.m..
The Phivolcs said that residents in areas where the first earthquake was felt should expect aftershocks.
