BATANGAS – Will it be a Mar-Ate Vi tandem in 2016?

Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto said a vice- presidential bid in 2016 is not one of her priorities right now.

The governor’s name has been floated as a possible running mate to Interior Secretary Mar Roxas should the latter decide to run for president.

Reports have also said that Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is also eyeing the governor as a running-mate.

At ang movie namin with Angel [Locsin]. Pero yang VP VP, hindi yan ang priority ko,” she added.

But asked if there is any other position she wants to run for in 2016, she said, “I am inclined to be a president… president of the senior citizens!”

As of now, there governor’s camp has yet to talk about a clear election plan.

There have been speculations that she may run for senator, representative of the lone district of Lipa, or run again as city mayor. –report from Ernie Mano, ABS-CBN Southern Tagalog
