BAGUIO – A woman was caught stealing underwear from a store on Lower Mabini Street, Baguio City.

CCTV footage showed two women entering the said store. One woman was pregnant, while the other one was carrying a toddler in her arms.

The pregnant woman was talking to the salesperson, while the other one seemed to be taking underwear and placing them in a pile behind a display of bags.

When the salesperson looked at the products the pregnant woman was pointing at, the other woman took the underwear she had gathered and placed them between her body and the child.

The women later left the establishment.

They allegedly stole around P4,000 worth of underwear.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development said the use of the child in the crime may be classified as child abuse.

Anyone who makes use of a child in illegal activities may be jailed, according to Republic Act 7610. –report from Chuck Tinte, ABS-CBN News North Luzon
