MANILA, Philippines - The Commission on Elections on Wednesday dismissed Luis Villafuerte Sr.'s disqualification case against grandson  Miguel Luis "Migz" Villafuerte.

The 2 Villafuertes are rivals for the gubernatorial seat of Camarines Sur.

The Comelec en banc affirmed on April1, 2013 the January 15 division ruling dismissing the case.

The elder villafuerte filed an appeal in February that was also dismissed.

Meanwhile, the commission en ban also affirmed the division ruling dismissing the disqualification case filed against Aga Muhlach.

In a May 2 ruling, the Comelec dismissed the motion for reconsideration dated March 12 filed by Crispin Imperial and Francisco Perico Dizon.

The 2 originally sought to disqualify Muhlach on questions over his residency in the district he seeks to represent in Congress.
