MANILA, Philippines -  An official of the Moro Islamic Liberation (MILF) on Tuesday said columnist Ramon Tulfo "got a dose of his own medicine" after being beaten up at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 over the weekend.

In a statement, MILF Committee on Information deputy chief Khaled Musa said the MILF is completely neutral as far as who is at fault in the brawl last Sunday.

"Truth is truth and it is not fair to say Ramon Tulfo or the Santiagos are guilty of starting the brawl. Let the facts of the incident come out soon," he said in a report on luwaran.com.

However, Musa gave a statement to Tulfo, who is allegedly a critic of Moros in Mindanao.

“Hurting is not only when one is attacked but the more stinging it is when the offended party is the whole community like the Moros. I wish he will stop insulting people now that he has been given the dose of his own medicine," he said.

Tulfo has filed libel and grave coercion charges against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto for assaulting him last Sunday.

Santiago said he accosted Tulfo for taking pictures of his wife while she was questioning Cebu Pacific staff over their missing luggage.

The actor said Tulfo pushed and kicked him and his wife, igniting the brawl.
