MANILA – Five people, including three minors, were stabbed dead in Baguio City on Sunday.

Police said an unidentified suspect stabbed the victims inside the house of the Nociete family along Kayang Street.

Stabbed dead were Dave de Guzman, 7; Raymond Delmendo, 8; Joey Nociete Jr., 9; Jacquelyn Nociete, 19; and Jonalyn Lozano, 32.

The victims were brought to the hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival.

Vilma Nociete, Joey and Jacquelyn's mother, said Jacquelyn was able to send a text message at around 4 p.m. on Sunday saying that a visitor had arrived at the house.

In the text message, Jacquelyn failed to identify the visitor but said the latter once talked to her father.

Police said neighbors may have failed to hear the commotion inside the house, as the stabbing occurred at the house's fourth floor.

Members of the Nociete family believe the suspect had been acquainted with them. – report from Diane Rivera, ABS-CBN News Northern Luzon
