TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines - More than 2,000 residents of Barangay 3 Upper Nula-Tula in this city needs to be relocated, authorities said.

Roger De Dios, regional director of teh Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Mines and Geosciences Bureau, said in an interview that 90% of the land in Upper Nula-Tula is not safe to reside.

"There are already cracks in most portion of the area so our geologist confirmed that it is not anymore safe for the people to stay," he explained.

De Dios further added that the city government of Tacloban must look for an immediate relocation site for the affected residents within the week.
