MANILA -- Two teachers were raped and robbed by three armed men inside the house they were renting in Kabugao, Apayao.
According to students "Rica" and "Rose" (not their real names), they visited the two teachers in their house in Sitio Taracay, Lenneng last January 30.
Rica and Rose, who were accompanied by another teacher, said they were already supposed to leave the house when three men suddenly barged in and pointed guns at them at around 9 p.m.
The suspects then raped the two teachers, aged 24 and 28. The students and the other teacher were also molested by the suspects.
The armed men took off with the victims' two laptops, three cellphones, a wrist watch, a digital camera, and two wedding rings with a total value of P86,200. They also stole cash amounting to P3,200.
They ran away after one of them accidentally fired his gun, shooting himself on the nose.
One of the suspects, identified as Wilner Tuvera, surrendered to authorities on Thursday and is now detained in Sta. Marcela Provincial Jail.
Charges of robbery and rape will be filed against him.
Manhunt operations against his two cohorts are still ongoing. -- Report from KC Zalavaria, ABS-CBN News North Luzon
