MANILA, Philippines - Former senator and actor Ramon Revilla Sr. generously provides for Genelyn Magsaysay and her family, according to a manager and lawyer of his son, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.

The lawmaker's manager, Lolit Solis, said the Magsaysay family receives at least P300,000 in monthly allowances.

As authorities dug deeper into the murder of Ramgen Bautista, reports came out about the Facebook posts of his mother, Genelyn Magsaysay.

Many of Magsaysay's posts seemed to point to lack of support from the father of her children, the Revilla patriarch, as a possible motive behind the crimes committed last October 28.

"I need to work ASAP so I can have my own , I don't like to hear them saying im a parasite. Before I met him, I'm working already. Now they are telling me I'm a parasite when the allowance that you are giving is not enough for monthly consumption," she said on Facebook last October 21, before Ramgen was murdered.

Revilla Jr. has denied Magsaysay's claim.

His lawyer also said the Facebook posts are far from the truth. "Maayos ang pagbibigay ng sustento kina Genelyn at kanyang mga anak, walang isyu doon," Atty. Jeffrey Zarate said.

Generous monthly allowance

According to Solis, they will release documents to prove that Genelyn Magsaysay's family has received regular allowance since 2008.

Solis revealed that Genelyn and her children get about P260,000 in monthly allowances.

They also get a P50,000 peso revolving fund for other needs, such as Ramgen's community activities in Cavite.

Ram supposedly handled the family's finances. He was the one who received the funds before he was killed.

The money does not include tuition for his siblings, including alleged mastermind Ramon Joseph, who studies in an exclusive college in Taguig.

"We are prepared to show everything if it is needed in the search for justice but this is unfortunate," Zarate said.

Solis said money should not have caused any problems within the family since "Don Ramon" has already divided his assets among his children.

Real estate properties

Among these assets are real estate properties in Cavite where malls such as SM Bacoor and Robinsons Imus stand. The Revillas also own a cockpit and 2 cemeteries in Cavite.

Solis also revealed that the house in BF Homes Parañaque, is in Genelyn's name.

Like Revilla Sr.'s other women, Genelyn was given money to start a business.

In 2004, Genelyn produced the movie that launched Ramgen's acting career, "Anak Ka Ng Tatay Mo." However, it did not do well in the box office.

Janelle's hospital expenses

Meanwhile, Revilla Jr. has paid for the treatment and surgery of Janelle Manahan, the girlfriend of Ramgen who survived a gunshot wound in the face.

Her treatment costs around P200,000.

The senator's lawyer, meanwhile, clarified that his client is not siding with anyone.

"He is a senator of the republic, not of one family. He also hopes for justice," Zarate said.

The lawmaker's camp also said financial support for Genelyn and her family will continue, but they have yet to decide who should receive the money. - report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News; ANC
