MANILA, Philippines - The star witness in the Ramgen Bautista murder case on Wednesday gave more details on how the crime was planned.

These include an extensive surveillance on the son of former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., as well as a failed first attempt on Ramgen's life.

ABS-CBN News secured a photo of Norwin dela Cruz, one of the 7 suspects in Ramgen's murder.

Dela Cruz is said to be the live-in partner of Glaiza Vista, another suspect.

Based on the statement of star witness Ruel Puzon, Dela Cruz was part of the group that failed to kill Ram on the first try last October 12.

Puzon said the suspects were already at Ram's bedroom door, but they were forced to leave when they heard the sound of a gun being cocked.

The suspects -- Dela Cruz, Vista, a certain alias Bryan, and Michael Altea -- then allegedly went to Puzon's house in San Dionisio, Parañaque.

Puzon said they went to Tramo and met with Roy Francis Tolisora alias Kiko, who handed a .45-caliber gun to Dela Cruz.

Dela Cruz then allegedly gave the gun to Altea.

Puzon added that Dela Cruz and Vista were the ones who sought Ramgen's whereabouts. "Sila ang nagmo-monitor kung saan nagpupunta si Ramgen na nakikita ko silang kasama ni Bryan," he said.

Meanwhile, an NBI ballistics examination confirmed that the bullet that hit Ram's chest was from a .45-caliber gun.

The bullet is teflon-coated, the kind used in practice shooting, and can be bought for P10.

The laboratory test also showed polyester fiber on the bullet.

Investigators said it's possible that the fiber is from the pillow used to muffle the sound of the gunshot. - ANC
