5 hurt as bus rams toll booth in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines – Five persons were injured after a bus rammed into a toll booth at the Aguinaldo Highway Toll Plaza in Parañaque City on Monday.

Two toll booth tellers and three bus passengers were hurt after the Alabang TSCI bus, driven by Edgardo Loreka, crashed into the toll booth along Coastal Road.

The victims were sent to St. Dominic Hospital in Bacoor, Cavite for treatment.

Loreka claimed he lost control of the bus, which came from Las Piñas and was bound for Lawton in Manila, forcing him to hit the toll booth.

He is now under the custody of Parañaque Traffic Police. – Report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
