MANILA, Philippines – The Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City and Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City will have their motorcycle lanes starting next week, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Monday.
MMDA chair Francis Tolentino said starting next Monday, October 17, the rightmost lane of Macapagal Boulevard will be provided for motorcycle riders. He said those who wish to make a left turn may shift to inner lanes 100 meters before the boulevard's intersection.
The 4th lane of Commonwealth Avenue, on the other hand, will be used as the motorcycle lane.
Tolentino explained that private cars can still use the special lanes when no motorcycle riders are using them. - Report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
