MANILA - Supporters of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said their rally should not be called a ''million people march.''

In an interview on dzMM, Atty. Paula Alvarez, spokesperson for Champions for Rody Duterte for President, said the rally will go as planned.

She, however, said the rally should not be called a "million people march" as they never said they have one million supporters.

She also said they did not invite any celebrity or showbiz personalities in the rally, as the gathering is solely to convince Duterte to run as president, and not for political propaganda.

Ito po talaga ay para kay Mayor Duterte na ipapakita po namin ang support namin," Alvarez said, adding that celebrities are welcome to join if they want to show their support for Duterte.

The People's Call will be held on September 26 at Burnham Greens in Quirino Grandstand. Supporters are asked to wear red, blue or white.
