MANILA, Philippines – The body of an unidentified man believed to be a victim of summary execution was discovered among garbage on the coastal shore of Navotas Friday evening.

The victim’s body, clad only in underwear, was found past 10 p.m. along the shoreline of G. Tuazon in Navotas.

“Nangingisda kami tapos nung pauwi na kami nakita naming yung bangkay,” a fisherman said.

The body also bore torture signs. The victim’s chest had markings indicating it was hit by a hard object. The victim’s head was also wrapped in packaging tape.

Police said it was possible that the victim had been dead for about 2 to 3 days because the body was already decomposing.

Authorities are still determining the identity of the victim who was described to be about 5’5” in height, sporting a tribal tattoo on his back and between 30 to 35 years old. Jerome Lantin, ABS-CBN News
