MMDA lays down alternate routes amid INC mass action

MANILA – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has suggested alternate routes for motorists in light of the closure of the northbound and southbound lanes of Shaw Boulevard Service Roads.

The local government of Mandaluyong City earlier granted a permit to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to continue its mass action at EDSA-Shaw Boulevard until Sunday, August 30.

Thousands of INC members started converging along EDSA Friday afternoon, a day after they mounted a demonstration outside the compound of the Department of Justice (DOJ) along Padre Faura in Manila.
