MANILA, Philippines – A still-unidentified man was found dead and floating in the Pasig River early Sunday morning.
The victim was only wearing shorts. He was found floating near Muelle dela Industria in Binondo, Manila.
According to the people living in the river banks, they saw the man jump into the river around 1 p.m. Saturday.
The residents said they thought the man was going swimming.
The Philippine Coast Guard helped in lifting the body from the river.
Meanwhile, the Manila Police District Homicide Division is now investigating if foul play was involved the victim’s death, but so far they have not found any evidence indicating that the man was murdered. -- Report from Dennis Datu, DZMM.
