MRT hit by tech glitch anew

MANILA (UPDATE) – Another technical glitch hit the Metro Rail Transit (MRT 3) on Tuesday, leaving passengers stranded.

Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) spokesperson Hernando Cabrera told ANC that MRT 3 suffered a power interruption near Kamuning Station.

Due to the technical problem, northbound and southbound trips from North Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard Station were suspended at 9:53 a.m.

Affected passengers were also given fare refunds.

Operations between Taft Avenue and Shaw Boulevard stations were also limited while repairs were ongoing.

Cabrera said intervention works were completed at 11:49 a.m. As of posting, MRT was back to normal operations. – with a report from Zandro Ochona, dzMM
