MANILA, Philippines – Officials in Pasay City seized more "double dead" milkfish Friday.

Nearly 80 kilos of the rotten fish were found being sold by vendors at the Cartimar, Seaside and Santo Nino markets.

The vendors denied the fish came from the massive fishkills in Batangas and Pangasinan.

"’Yung iba nagsisinungaling. Hindi nila sinasabi na galing ng Batangas o Pangasinan. Sinasabi nila galing sa Dagupan, Bulacan o kaya dito lang,” said Dr. Ronaldo Bernaser of the Pasay veterinary office.

Authorities in Metro Manila have seized 800 kilos of "double dead" milkfish so far.

These have been turned into feeds at the Davao Crocodile Farm in Pasay. -- Report from ANC
