MANILA -- Netizens have created a Facebook community page to seek justice for a 7-year-old girl who was killed by her own father.

Mark Alvin Manliclic slashed the throat of his own daughter, Angel Mark Cathlene, inside their house before dawn on Tuesday after he had a fight on the internet with his wife.

The suspect even allegedly posted a photo of the dead and bloody remains of his daughter on Facebook.

Many members of the Facebook community page expressed dismay over the girl's death.

RIP," one person said.

Some, aside from blaming the suspect, are also blaming the child's mother, who they believe should also be held responsible for what happened to her child.

Some said the suspect should be given the death penalty.

The victim's relatives said Angel Mark Cathlene's mother learned of the incident only Tuesday afternoon.

The woman said she and her husband had an argument online, but added that they quickly solved their differences.

Manliclic's wife left the country to go to Canada last May 2.

The woman said she did not tell her husband of her departure, fearing that he will not allow her to leave.

Manliclic was formally charged Wednesday. He will not be allowed to post bail, and might face life imprisonment.

The family's relatives are planning to bring Angel's remains to Quezon where she will be laid to rest. -- with reports from Carolyn Bonquin, ABS-CBN News
