(UPDATE) Posh Mandaluyong City mall hit by fire 1

MANILA, Philippines - A fire hit a posh mall in Mandaluyong City late Friday evening. The blaze hit Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City located at the corner of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard, an initial report said.

Fire Officer 3 Federico Macandog of Bureau of Fire Protection in Mandaluyong City said that the fire started at 10:31 p.m.

Macandog said that initial reports inidcated that the fire hit Rustan’s Supermarket located at the basement of the mall.

The ongoing fire has reached 3rd alarm level as of 10:55 p.m.

The cause of the blaze is yet to be known.

On April 15, a fire also hit another posh mall, Greenbelt 3 Mall, located in Makati City.
