MANILA, Philippines -- A fifteen-year-old girl who went missing from her home last March 30 has been found in Pasig Tuesday, police said.

Police said they received a tip about the girl's whereabouts, prompting them to immediately conduct rescue operations.

The girl was found in the house of a certain Noli Biong, a 23-year-old tricycle driver, along Kenneth Road in Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Leonardo Espina said Biong is now under police custody and will be charged with consented abduction because instead of returning the 15-year-old girl to her parents, he kept her in his house.

Police said the girl initially resisted to leave the man's house, saying that they already have a relationship.

The girl's parents said their daughter left their home after they scolded her for not washing the dishes.

Their daughter then boarded a tricycle driven by Biong and went with him. -- Report from Dennis Datu, dzMM
