MANILA – Weather bureau PAGASA has advised residents in Luzon to brace for hotter weather in the coming days.
PAGASA said a ridge of a high pressure area promises to bring warmer weather in the next few days, with the temperature playing between 25 to around 36 degrees Celsius.
In an interview with radio dzMM on Tuesday morning, PAGASA weather forecaster Gladys Saludes said temperatures will be at its highest between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience the effect of the easterlies. Southern Mindanao will also have rainshowers and thunderstorms.
On Monday, PAGASA said Metro Manila experienced its hottest day in the year so far.
The temperature soared to 36.6 degrees Celsius which was recorded at 3:50 p.m.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded last May 15 at 39.7 degrees Celsius, in Echague, Isabela.
