Party-list groups say Comelec 'purge biased'

MANILA - About 100 members of party-list groups held a demonstration outside the Commission on Elections on Monday to criticize the poll body for allegedly discriminating against party-list groups critical of the administration.

The protesters, who come from so-called progressive groups, also accused the Comelec of being puppets of the Aquino administration.

They said the Comelec is biased for administration allies in its purge of party-list groups, and called for the disqualification of those groups.
