MANILA – Parañaque police recovered Wednesday night the sport utility vehicle (SUV) of outgoing Commission on Audit (COA) Chairman Reynaldo Villar, which was taken from him at gunpoint that morning inside BF Homes.

The white Fortuner, with plate number ZRV 924, was found abandoned at F. Cruz Street, about a kilometer from where it was taken.

Most of the valuables were intact except some money worth about P80,000 and several cell phones.

Police said the suspects could be ordinary criminals because they did not take all valuables and left the vehicle within the area.

Vlllar earlier said it was taken from him at gunpoint by 2 men. He was made to drive around the subdivision and was later dropped off.

Police said one suspect is of medium built, about 5'4” in height.

Villar has already checked a rogue gallery of wanted carjackers.
