MANILA, Philippines - The lifeless body of a male Korean has been found inside a water tank at Avida Towers in Paranaque, police said Saturday.

According to a police report, the victim was last seen in the early morning of March 26 running barefoot outside his condominium unit.

His body was discovered after a maintenance crew worker caught a whiff of disgusting odor near the water tank.

Police said they will try to get a copy of the CCTV footage taken in the area.

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Kim Ji-hun, based on his identification cards.

He also goes by the aliases John Kim and Kang Kyung Suk.

His live-in partner, Kyla delos Santos Taguiam, said a luggage bag and two small designer bags owned by the victim were discovered in March 27 in the fire exit of Avida's Tower 5.

The bags contain cash worth around P2 million, as well as various gadgets owned by the couple.
