PTV-4 official faces sex harassment raps

MANILA (UPDATED/CORRECTED) - A 23-year-old trainee at PTV-4 is suing a top official of the state-owned broadcast station for sexual harassment.

The man filed a complaint Monday against PTV-4 news director Ed Finlan at the Quezon City prosecutor's office.

Finlan, whose real name is Eduardo Valdez, allegedly used his position to molest the trainee.

The alleged victim said on February 24, Finlan tried to touch his private parts while he was handing over food given by another station official.

On March 7, Finlan allegedly followed him inside the toilet and touched his private parts.

Another media personality allegedly filed a similar complaint in the past against Finlan.

DZMM reached PTV4 officials for comment but no one wanted to talk about the issue.

Finlan also declined to comment on the lawsuit, saying he has not yet seen the complaint. - report from Zhander Cayabcab, dzMM
