MANILA (3rd UPDATE) -- A man died after allegedly jumping off the fourth floor of Robinsons Place Manila on Thursday afternoon.

The man, was identified as 30-year-old Amado Aparentado.

According to witnesses, the man's head hit the glass portion of the railings on the mall's third floor before falling on the ground floor.

The incident occurred in the Midtown wing of the mall.

"Right away mayroon kaming emergency response team that responded right away sa scene in a few minute time nadala namin yung victim sa ospital," said Dollie Bufi, regional operations manager of Robinsons Manila.

Aparentado was rushed to the Manila Doctors Hospital but was declared dead at 2:50 p.m., according to Dr. Hazel Yu.

PO3 Joseph Cabigting of the Homicide Section of Manila police also confirmed the death of the victim.

Dollie Bufi, regional operations manager of Robinsons Mall, said the victim sustained a broken chest and broken limbs from jumping off the mall's 4th floor.
