Quezon City mulls CCTV in public schools

MANILA -- The local government of Quezon City is considering installing closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in all public primary and secondary schools in the city.

In a resolution drafted by the Quezon City council, they argued that having CCTV cameras in schools can help prevent crimes from happening inside and outside school grounds.

The big number of students in public elementary and high schools is also another reason why the city council is pushing for the installation of CCTV cameras.
