MANILA, Philippines – The westbound stretch of Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. all the way to Pureza, Manila was closed to motorists early Saturday to make way for the filming of Hollywood film "The Bourne Legacy".

The road block caused heavy traffic in the area, which agitated some of the passing motorists.

“Dapat hindi pinapayagan ‘yung ganyan. Nakakaabala sa mga tao eh,” said Jun Sanchez, one of the motorists.

One of the major stunts in the movie was filmed along the busy thoroughfare.

The stunt doubles of “The Bourne Legacy” stars Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz stood-in for the scene.

On Sunday, the film’s production team will return to resume the filming of the scenes.

The crew will shoot more scenes in the area on February 11 and 12.

Authorities warned motorists that heavy traffic is again expected on February 12 because both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. will be closed.

Motorists were also advised to take the following alternate routes during the shooting:

Eastbound vehicles coming from Legarda, Nagtahan and JP Laurel can proceed to AH Lacson St. before making a right at G. Tuazon or they can take AH Lacson St. before making a right at Espana to their point of destination.

Westbound vehicles coming from San Juan, Cubao and Mandaluyong should take old Sta. Mesa, make a left at Valenzuela street and turn right at Paco or Sta. Mesa road. Turn right at President Quirino Avenue to their point of destination. -- Reports from Gretchen Malalad, ABS-CBN News; ANC
