MANILA, Philippines -- A passenger bus caught fire along Ortigas Avenue Extension on Thursday morning.
Authorities said a G-Liner bus plying the Quiapo-Cainta route with plate number NYA 474 suddenly went ablaze while it was on its way near Cainta Junction.
Bus driver Edwin Casaños said the fire started from the front portion of the bus.
Initial investigation of the Cainta Traffic Police showed that electrical malfunction could have caused the fire.
The incident caused panic among the passengers, who immediately scrambled to get out of the bus.
No one was reported injured from the incident.
