MANILA -- Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino on Wednesday said adult diapers will be issued to the agency's enforcers who will be on duty for the feast of the Black Nazarene and the visit of Pope Francis.

Tolentino explained that the MMDA enforcers will have to endure longer working hours and may need to relieve themselves while on duty.

For the feast of Black Nazarene on January 9, portalets will be made available, but Tolentino said it would be better that their use be made more available to the devotees.

He said the adult diaper can last for one day.

The MMDA is set to deploy some 2,000 personnel for the annual ''traslacion''. It will also send personnel to areas included in the itinerary of Pope Francis later this month.
