MANILA, Philippines - The camp of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Monday filed their comment to the opposition of Commission on Elections (Comelec) lawyers to their motion for house arrest.
The defense reiterated their position that placing Mrs. Arroyo under house arrest will be better for the security of the former president.
Having filed their comment, the motion is now submitted to the court for resolution. Judge Jesus Mupas of Pasay regional trial court branch 112 may make his decision in 15 days, said court legal researcher Felda Domingo.
