ILAGAN CITY, Isabela - A relative of President Aquino is against calls to give the Chief Executive a term extension.

Senator Paolo Benigno Aquino IV said he is against a move to amend the 1987 Constitution, which will allow his uncle, President Aquino, to stay longer in office.

"Tutol tayo dito," he said.

On the other hand, the senator said he is not against the move to amend the Constitution's economic provisions.

He pointed out, however, that no one is pushing for the constitutional amendments in the Upper Chamber.

Aquino said a bill that seeks to institute reforms in the Sangguniang Kabataan is in third and final reading.

The SK Reform and Empowerment Bill seeks to change the age qualification of the SK chairman to 15 to 25 years old. Report by Harris Julio, ABS-CBN News
