Atty. Jessica Lucila "Gigi" Gonzales Reyes
MANILA - Atty. Jessica Lucila "Gigi" Gonzales Reyes, former chief of staff of Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile, has left the Philippines amid the scam involving the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of lawmakers.
ABS-CBN News learned that Reyes left Manila last August 31 at 7:50 p.m. via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 362 bound for Macau.
Immigration records indicate that Reyes departed alone with two check-in luggage. She had no "onward" or return ticket at the time of her departure.
Reyes is the former chief of staff of Enrile, one of the senators being implicated in the pork barrel scam involving businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.
Reyes left the Philippines two days after the Philippine Daily Inquirer released a story quoting a witness who claimed to have personally delivered PDAF money to Reyes.
The Bureau of Immigration said there is no standing hold departure order or watch list against Reyes. Thus, she was allowed to leave the country.
Pork barrel scam whistle-blower Benhur Luy claimed before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on Thursday that the chiefs of staff of senators and congressmen personally got cash from Napoles as part of their cut.
