MANILA - Senate President Franklin Drilon said the results of a Liberal Party-commissioned survey were not manipulated to favor the party's standard-bearer, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, who emerged the top presidential candidate in it.
"Kung sinasabi n'yong minaniobra namin 'yan, para kaming mga gago (If you're saying we maneuvered that, we would look like fools)," said Drilon, the party's vice chairman.
"The LP paid for the survey. Yes, it was commissioned by the party. But it doesn't mean that if it's commissioned by the party, you manipulate the result," he added.
The survey showed that Roxas will win if the presidential race were a one-on-one fight between him and Vice President Jejomar Binay.
