MANILA, Philippines - Rowena del Rosario, the former bookkeeper of the Arroyo-owned company LTA Inc., is "relaxed" and cooperative with security personnel while in detention for contempt, Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Jose Balajadia said Tuesday.
Balajadia said del Rosario's husband, Rommel, has been with her inside the room since last night. Her lawyer also visited her.
As a detainee, del Rosario is allowed to accept visitors only during office hours. Visitors aside from her husband are not allowed to stay overnight, Balajadia said.
He added that del Rosario is allowed to go out to get some sunlight for only 5 to 10 minutes.
The detention area is a 3x4-meter airconditioned room with a restroom, bed, and cabinets, but has no windows.
Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman TG Guingona had said del Rosario will stay there until senators are satisfied with her answers in the inquiry on the Philippine National Police chopper controversy.
