MANILA - OFW Family Party-list Rep. Roy Señeres is defending Christine Napoles - daughter of embattled businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles - whom he has nominated to be the group’s second nominee replacing Johnny Revilla.

Seneres said he assured Revilla there is nothing personal in the decision to unseat him. During the campaign, Revilla supposedly admitted he is still an American citizen and could not renounce it because he is still petitioning his children.

Seneres and Revilla were caught on camera in a tete-a-tete at the orientation seminar for new congressmen.

Revilla did not go into the details but he maintained he is a natural born Filipino. A case, however, has already been filed against him at the House of Representatives Election Tribunal.

Señeres said his children and the younger Napoles go way back and have been friends since their school days.
He said Napoles had been helping in the repatriation of distressed OFWs and has extensive work in the party-list’s advocacies.
