MANILA - Former Senator Panfilo Lacson on Wednesday said there are enough senators in Janet Lim Napoles' list of pork barrel scam beneficiaries "to ratify a treaty."

Lacson said this on the sidelines of Wednesday's press briefing in Malacañang on the progress of rehabilitation and recovery efforts in areas destroyed by super typhoon "Yolanda."

Lacson now serves as the Presidential Assistant on Rehabilitation and Recovery.

"If we add up those in the list to include former and incumbent senators, that is correct. Enough to ratify a treaty. Not absolute 16," he said.

The 1987 Constitution requires a two-thirds vote in the 24-man Senate before a treaty or international agreement can become effective.

Lacson was approached by Janet and Jimmy Napoles before the alleged pork barrel scam mastermind decided to tell all about the scam.
