MANILA - Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas on Wednesday once again skirted around the issue of his plans for 2016.

When asked to comment on the possibility of having Senator Grace Poe as his running mate, Roxas said the Liberal Party (LP) will have a presidential candidate but did not say if it would be him or someone else.

Roxas merely reiterated President Benigno Aquino III's "daang matuwid" motto in explaining several government projects within the Philippine National Police (PNP).

"Ang partido namin ay magkakaroon ng kandidato. Lahat kami na kabahagi, mga sundalo sa 'daang matuwid' ay naniniwala na dapat magpatuloy ito," he said.

"Tulad nito -- hindi naman sa pagiging political statement -- but bukod dito sa 210 na ito, there will be additional 1,400 na mga mobile patrol jeep light na idadagdag," he added, referring to the delivery of the new mobile patrol jeeps of the PNP.

"Lahat tayo naniniwala doon, lahat tayo nais magpatuloy doon. -- With report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
